A man who was hired by a shop at the mall of Africa has been arrested after it was discovered that he put small packets of Nyaope as Christmas presents in children’s pockets when taking pictures with them.
Before his arrest, more than five parents complained to the management of the mall after discovering the drugs in their kids’ pockets. Many of these kids confessed that the Santa at the mall gave them the drugs as a present for Christmas. Management then started investigating.
Black Santa, as many people call him, was arrested two days after Christmas when he was caught red-handed with small bags of Nyaope in his lunch box.
“I was only trying to make these kids happy…..since it’s Christmas you know.” he told the SAPS.
Black Santa is expected to appear in court in February 2017.
